As of November 20 Mike Ridley will be the new Supervisor of Tuscarora Township. In the year of Democratic landslides this Republican candidate prevailed. Mike looks forward to the challenge and is excited, even in these droll economic times, to be involved in the growth and development of his community. He gives thanks to the many people for their words of encouragement and congratulations. "A lot of chatter this morning at the coffee shop. Rampant fear about the liberalism and the radicalism of our new president. I pledged my support to John McCain and in his concession speech he patriotically, eloquently and graciously pledged his support to Barack Obama. I feel compelled to do the same. Let’s try to make things better. President-elect Obama is simply the face of the change that had been coming for the last fifty years. 2008 will be remembered as the tipping point in American Culture. No more excuses. We’re all on even ground and it’s a brand new day. In any event, if you stop by Indian River please drop by the township offices and say hello or you may catch me at campaign central (Mike & Dave’s Barbershop) and they’ve always got the coffee on.
